What is the schedule?
Friday (day prior to the
sale)
4:00 - 6:00 PM
Drop off at assigned time
7:00 - 8:00 PM Worker-only presale
Saturday (day of the sale)
8:00 - 9:00 AM
Member-only Presale
9:00 -1:00 PM Public Sale
2:00 - 3:00 PM Pick up unsold items
How do I get tags?
You can download a template and print your
own tags on cardstock or purchase tags from
one of
our tag coordinators
Regular tags
need to be printed on white cardstock and
large item tags
need to be printed on light blue cardstock
along with the
hold area tag
that needs to be on red cardstock.
How should I price my items?
The NOMTC magazine said this best in an
article about C & E sales, "Go to your local
consignment stores and then price your stuff
about 25 - 40% less." Of course, this will
depend on the wear of the item. Some
equipment and furniture will get a higher
price, so just use your best judgment. Many
of us just want to clean house. In which
case, consider what you might pay at a
garage sale & watch everyone have fun
looking for your stuff!
How do I prepare my items for the sale?
Please see the
Handbook
for specific instructions. It isn't
difficult, but this format makes sure nobody
misses anything.
Do members get to shop early?
YES! A members-only presale is scheduled
for 8:00 - 9:00 AM on Saturday. All EDMoMs
members are invited to shop at this time.
All workers will be invited to shop Friday
night at 7:00 PM.
Do I have to tag things if I just want to
donate my stuff to EDMoMs?
No. If you have items that you want to
donate to EDMoMs for 100% donation to the
club, you may arrange to drop them off with
a member of our tag committee and they will
tag these items for the club's benefit. We
only ask that the items be clean and free of
tears or holes.
